As my friend Yves says, "It's impossible to be truly creative without some agony. Alcohol and drugs are inspiration, and for some artists it is the fire that burns them." It was something like that, and he may very well be right. Look at Edgar Allen Poe. He was a mess, but his work lives on.
Yeah. Great stuff. And I love Amy Winehouse, by the way. I think the young women these days have a lot of balls! They are definitely not warm and fuzzy. They truly reflect the angst of living though these times as a younger person wondering where the future is headed on so many levels.
